Understanding how the nuances of proper branding can translate into an increase in business is well illustrated in the execution of the Levy Davis & Maher website. Levy Davis & Maher are an established Manhattan law firm specialising in employment law and civil rights.

One of their partners, Jon Bernstein knew of us from some time he spent in Europe. He approached us with the tall order of dragging his firm into the Internet Age while not compromising the more traditional components of his firm's reputation. He wanted a warmer appeal to his firm's online presence without alienating long-term clients.

We convinced him eventually that even his technophobe partners would benefit from a content management system that allowed them to update and control their own site. The Wych/cms proved to do the trick.

"We are a law firm, we are not IBM. We don't need or want all of the Internet bells and whistles that Wychnet can provide. Wychnet made me aware of the technical things that they could do for us, if desired, and was candid with us about our needs, that is, you could get such-and-such a thing but it doesn't seem like you really need it. On the other hand, it's just great having the CMS. If we win a big case, I can write a blurb about it at my desktop and upload it to the website in no more time than it takes me to type and at no cost at all."

Levy Davis were really unfamiliar with the means by which websites are marketing on the Internet. But they did understand the concept of using language to gain advantage with the Search Engines and are now maintaining a marketing programme on their own.

"Wychnet is forever giving me hints about how to optimise the site's visibility with keywords and whatnot. They really know their stuff. They know how the Internet works from a technical point of view and he knows marketing; he can integrate the two and implement the knowledge."

"Our website is essentially a marketing tool. It is easy to determine that it was a good investment, because we have earned legal fees in excess of the cost of the website from clients who learned of our firm from the website, clients we wouldn't otherwise have." ---Jonathan Bernstein, Senior Partner,Levy Davis & Maher

Cherwell Windows is the leading windows, doors and conservatory installation company in Oxfordshire. Based in Banbury it services the surrounding counties of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire. Originally established in 1987 by the current owner, Cherwell Windows has dominated the markets in these counties and now employs a team of 25 dedicated personnel.

Cherwell approached Wychnet to design a website from scratch that would reflect their market influence on the web. At the time, they were also planning to diversify into furniture and fittings for conservatories.

Wychnet spent two weeks researching their market country by county. A strategy was proposed to Cherwell Windows involving the registration of four separate domain names reflecting their range of products, all interlinked through the menu system.

Cherwellwindows.co.uk is the address of the corporate site, providing company information Cherwellconservatories.co.uk is the conservatory site. Cherwellwindowsanddoors.co.uk has all the product information on their range of windows and doors. Cherwelllifestyes.co.uk features their new range of furniture and fittings.

This enables the Cherwell web presence to span three times the scope of their competitors' websites and permits the registration of four different domains on the Search Engines.

Wychnet also designed and enabled Cherwell's Contact Relation Manager enabling their staff to coordinate the brochure and information demands of all their on-line queries at the click of a mouse.

Wychnet also devised the branding for Cherwell Lifestyles.

Cherwell Windows is very quickly increasing its customer base with on-line contacts requesting appointments. Their website is getting them more prospects, more customers and more business with less effort.

www.equitour.co.uk

Equitour Horse Riding Holidays Worldwide is an adventure holiday specialist that arranges horseback riding holidays for families and groups in the UK, Europe, Africa, Central and South America. The owner Louise Lyall had a standard 'brochure' style site that she was having difficulty updating using a standard html package. As her business was growing, it was becoming crucial that she be able to add new horse riding packages to her site as well as destination countries. Wychnet was able to modify her existing site by refining the Equitour brand, implementing a Content Management System and a Contact Relationship Manager and register her site on the primary international holiday search engines and consumer directories.

Louise is now able to update the text, menu, photos on her site by herself at a fraction of the cost of hiring a web designer. She has also begun to circulate a monthly newsletter to her clients and prospects keeping them informed of new holiday packages and new destination countries. Equitour is now building a significant customer base that Louise can be personally in contact with using her CRM. Equitour is now competing with larger on-line holiday companies while avoiding additional costs.

Occasionally, an ideal client walks through the door of the Wychnet offices. This year it was a software salesman who had just an idea for adding income to his household with an internet-based business run by himself and his wife. What was ideal was that he contacted Wychnet at the onset of his business plan and our consultants were able to collaborate with him to build the plan and the market approach before any actual production work was commenced.

Once the plan was in place for the overall business strategy, Wychnet commenced the task of building a brand identity from scratch that would work on both screen-based and print media. Once the branding was established, a website and sales brochure were planned. By working closely with the founder of Reward Group in a collaborative environment, full results were achieved within 6 weeks of his walking through our doors.

The Rewards Group Limited was formed in 2003 to help local and regional businesses advertise and market their products and services to both their existing and potential customers. The Rewards Group philosophy is based on 3 operating principles which are present in everything we do: Loyalty, Quality, and Service.
Their services are designed to inform UK consumers of special offers and promotions being run by local and regional businesses both by email, and via the fully featured Web based directory on this site.

Today Rewards Group is a successful small business email marketing service in Oxfordshire. Shortly, The Rewards Group will be replicating its winning formula in other counties throughout the UK.

"Wychnet provides a comprehensive IT service that transformed my
limited enterprise into an internationally-recognised institution in
its own field". ---- Clive Gibson-Leitch, Chairman of Capricorn
Research (Clive@capricornresearch.com)

Capricorn Research is a small, energy industry consultancy that
circulates by email, a daily newsletter to paying subscribers who
work in the energy market. Wychnet persuaded Capricorn Research that
they could expand the scope of their marketing, automate their
newsletter distribution and create a customer database by publishing
a website.

Wychnet created the brand identity for Capricorn Research
and then built a web site that would reflect that brand and attract
their type of clients. As an added incentive, Wychnet produced a
hybrid CD-ROM that not only enabled users to link to the site
directly from the CD but provided an incentive in the form of a
unique computer game that uploads game scores to the web site.

www.benchmarkofoxford.co.uk

Benchmark of Oxford was established in 1994 as a specialist supplier of individually designed, high quality, hard wood outdoor furniture.
Jeremy Lowe, architect and founder of Benchmark of Oxford Ltd. has created a unique range of outdoor furniture originally inspired by traditional swing bed designs discovered in India. In response to growing demand, the company has now expanded its range to also include a unique contemporary range.

Benchmark already had an existing website when they approached Wychnet. The problem was that their website looked well out of date and was not attracting any customers. Wychnet recommended a revamp of the Benchmark brand and the implementation of an on-line catalogue so that visitors could see the full range of outdoor furniture at a glance without having to wait for a mail order brochure. The brochure still exists but as a downloadable PDF file. This speeds up the process of ordering and purchasing and has already increased Benchmark’s customer base. Benchmark’s normal marketing activities centred on exhibition stands at consumer shows. By using their website as a 24/7 marketing tool by pushing their web site address on all their other marketing materials, they are able maintain a more consistent and competitive profile within their market at a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising.

Quote4Mortgages utilises interactive pricing calculators to permit their visitors to instantly see the kind of mortgage deals being offered while they shop around. Wychnet also implemented the newsletter service currently used by Quote4Mortgages to keep their customers informed of special offers and changes in the mortgage market on a monthly basis.
